The return of Danko Jones!!

In the last week of February Toronto's finest, Danko Jones, return with their brand new album "Never Too Loud" across Europe, excluding the UK (Canada in March, other territories TBC). 11 new songs recorded at Studio 606 in Los Angeles with Grammy Award winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Coheed & Cambria, Marilyn Manson etc).

The first track from the new album, "Code of the Road", can be downloaded for free on the link below and it serves as a great introduction to their most diverse and accomplished album to date! The vocals are stronger, the riffs more explosive and there are enough surprises to keep even the most avid Danko fans on their toes! John Garcia (Kyuss / Hermano) returns for a guest appearance together with punk rock legend Pete Stahl (Scream, Wool, Goatsnake) on the stoner anthem "Forest For The Trees".

Today we are also launching the album site, www.nevertooloud.com which will be updated regularly with all the latest Danko news, blogs, music, video footage, wallpapers and so on. Danko are doing their first 3 shows on European soil in 14 months (!) in February and prior to that they are doing 3 shows in Canada before the end of the year. A 3,5 week European tour will follow in April. More details on this shortly!

Just a note to say that I have temporarily disabled the contact email address for this site due to an unbelievable amount of SPAM. Seriously. Even the junk mail filter can't keep up with it all. I didn't check the mail for 2 days and there were over 300 junk emails in it. I'm turning it off for a while to see if that does anything.

2007/09/20: Album news:
The recording for the upcoming record is done and it has been sent for mixing in Vancouver. The title of the album is "Never Too Loud", however I'm told this is not a 100% committed title and may change before it is actual release (currently a working title). Having heard some of the new songs I can say it is a little different than past records and some fans may be surprised!

2007/07/20: DANKO JONES HEADS INTO STUDIO TO RECORD FIFTH FULL LENGTH CD
After five and a half years of non-stop touring which took the band to five continents in 21 countries and 15 tours in Europe alone, Danko Jones took a break last December to recoup, unwind, and a start writing material for the follow up to their 2006 release "Sleep Is The Enemy".

After a long process of finding the right producer, they are now stepping into Studio 606 in Los Angeles with Grammy Award winner Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Stone Sour, Velvet Revolver) to start work on the new record, due out in early 2008

"Nick's worked on some of my favorite records of the last 5 years", says Danko Jones, "and we're very excited to step into the studio with a producer who has such a great track record and incredible instincts".

The past five years have been a whirl-wind for the band, which saw Danko Jones play virtually every major European festival including Rock Im Park, Rock Am Ring, Wacken Open Air Festival, Hellfest, Leeds Festival, Lowlands, Roskilde, Gurten, Hultsfred, Reading Festival, and Ozzfest. In addition to non-stop touring Danko Jones also appeared on the new Annihilator album, "Metal" (released in April 2007) on the track "Couple Suicide" with Arch Enemy singer, Angela Gossow.
